About Justin Dean

Justin Dean is a fractional CMO, bestselling author, and conference speaker with a proven track record of driving growth for mission-driven and values-based organizations. He has led marketing for startups and industry giants alike — including The Home Depot, Autotrader.com, and Tithely — blending strategic vision with hands-on expertise in corporate marketing, event management, and public relations.

As the former Director of Communications at Mars Hill Church in Seattle — one of the fastest-growing and most innovative churches in the country at the time — Justin shaped communication strategy during a period of rapid expansion and, as the church's spokesperson, navigated one of the most significant PR challenges faced by any church in recent history. An entrepreneur at heart, he founded and sold three companies: That Church Conference, the online training platform SundayU, and the software solution Church Requests.

As Director of Marketing at Tithely, the global leader in church technology, Justin developed strategies that acquired more than 20,000 new customers in four years and launched the Modern Church Leader Conference, drawing nearly 1,000 attendees and over 65 exhibitors. He is the author of "PR Matters: A Survival Guide for Church Communicators" and "Stay Salty," and today serves mission-driven organizations as a fractional marketing leader from his home base in Gainesville, Georgia.
